District 6880 Leadership Academy

leadershipacademyBe a More Effective Rotarian by Increasing Your Knowledge About Rotary!

Welcome to Rotary District 6880 Leadership Academy!! We appreciate your interest in this wonderful program. In order for Rotary International to be an influential and effective organization around the world, its individual clubs must be healthy, vibrant and strong organizations. For the individual clubs to be effective, it is very important that the club leaders have a good understanding of Rotary. This Leadership Academy will help educate those Rotarians who have a desire to improve their overall understanding of Rotary. It will also further your development in Rotary so that you will be better prepared to provide ‘service above self’ through better leadership for your club and beyond. There are many opportunities at the club level to participate in leadership roles such as officers, directors, and committees. There are also opportunities to participate at the District level as well as the Zone level and the International level. Whatever your goals and aspirations are, you will be glad you invested the time to complete the Rotary District 6880 Leadership Academy. The Rotary District 6880 Leadership Team thanks you for taking this course.

Each lesson will have an instructions sheet with suggested pages for reading. Once you have completed each lesson, you may either email your answers to meburt@charter.net, or fax them to 334-741-4166, or mail to Merry Burt at 508 Fox Run Parkway, Opelika, AL, 36801, whichever is easier for you. If you get stumped on a question, send me an email and I will give you a ‘hint’ to help you. This should be fun for sure, but it should also have you walking away energized about our wonderful organization and hungry for more.

To reward you for all the hard work, there will be a banquet at the end of the course where all the graduates will be recognized. This usually takes place at the Rotary District Conference.
