ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL, PROSECUTOR FAMILY PROTECTION & PUBLIC CORRUPTION, State of ALABAMA
Hallie grew up just outside of Silverhill, graduating from Robertsdale High School in 1991
She graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1995 with a degree in Psychology and English.
Hallie is the mother of two beautiful girls ages 5 and 17.
She went to Law School at University of Alabama, graduating from there in 1998 and started out in private practice in Mobile and Baldwin Counties.
In 2000, Hallie opened her own law firm and successfully ran that business until 2006 when she was recruited to work for the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office.
After serving as a docket attorney for several months, Hallie was promoted to supervisor, major felony prosecutor and law enforcement liason toward the end of 2006.
By the beginning of 2007, she was also appointed as Child Sex Abuse Prosecutor.
In November, 2007, Hallie was next promoted to Chief Assistant District Attorney and remained in that position until October, 2008, when she accepted a position with the Attorney General’s Office.
As an Assistant Attorney General, Hallie has been prosecuting cases and delivering presentations across the State.
Within the AG’s Office, Hallie has worked in the Family Protection Unit, which deals with elderly and child abuse, the Public Corruption Division, dealing with white collar crime and ethics violations by public officials, and currently working in the Capital Litigation Division which deals with Death Penalty appeals.
Hallie was honored to have been chosen as the Assistant District Attorney of the Year for the State of Alabama in 2007. This was the first time such honor was awarded to a Baldwin County Assistant District Attorney.

Received certification in Nonprofit Organization Management from the US Chamber of Commerce – August, 2005
10 years experience in Quality Management working for Ericsson Network Systems in Richardson, TX.
Serving a 2-year term as the Baldwin County Education Co-chair for Envision Coastal Alabama
Currently serving on Advisory Councils for: HIPPY Program, Baldwin County Community Alliance, The Hispanic Family Resource Center, & Woman’s Advisory for South Baldwin Regional Medical Center
Served as a member of Coastal Chorale Board of Directors, 2005 – Present
Served 1996 – 2001 on Saint Benedict School Board and Saint Margaret of Scotland’s Parish Council
Terry Burkle will speak at the Rotary meeting on February 5th. She will be discussing the current school funding crisis and how the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation is working to address the needs of our schools.

PETS and AG training announced
All incoming presidents for the Rotary Year 2010 – 2011 are required to attend President Elect Training Session (PETS). The location for the district 6880 PETS is the Music City Sheraton in Nashville, Tennessee. Training for Assistant Governors will also be held at this time.
The 2010 MidSouth-PETS officially begins with the AG Institute and PETS elective(optional) workshops on Thursday afternoon March 18, 2010 and continues through adjournment at noon Sunday March 21, 2010.
